Limerick fun..one line at a time..

A pretty young maid from Lahore.
Found a boy she came to adore,
But when they were wed.
He waa dud in bed
And what's worse, had a terrible snore.

Wuzfuz,
Your limericks, just make me giggle
But here's a note I must scribble
Here's the instruction
'Bout this Game's construction
And how through this game we can wiggle.



Limericks consist of five lines.

The first two lines must rhyme with one another and contain the same count of syllables, usually seven to ten syllables.

The second two lines are shorter (four to seven syllables} and must rhyme with each other.

The fifth line rhymes with the first two lines of the limerick and matches the number of syllables of the first two lines.

Example:

There once was a lady named Mary
Who met a young fella named Harry
The went for a ride
She soon was his bride
And they had a wee baby named Carrie.

COPY and PASTE the preceding lines and then add your line and the next poster adds the next line until the limerick is complete. (Total of 5 lines)

The poster who completes the limerick...must also add a "starter" line for the next limerick.

Mary and Harry went walking....

Mary and Harry went walking....
But Mary just couldn't stop talking

Mary and Harry went walking,
But Mary could not stop talking.
So he stuffed her mouth with a stocking'
Which Mary found quite shocking.
But it certainly stopped her squawking.

WUZFUZ has a michevious mind,
But most of his friends are kind
They know its to express
His serious stress.
When thinking about the foibles of mankind

Had an ego as big as a Rhino;
But the sneers from her peers.
Brought her to tears,
When they told her she was only a SO SO

He I am "Boomers" again,
far too early it's only 3-10.
Could be my pills; or not.
Did I get, or got-
and exactly just where and when.

Thee is ah old man in Dundee;
Whose eyes are so dim he can't see'
His hearing is weak, can't hear people speak.
But his fingers still work and he hopes it won't irk`,
When he feels them to find who they be.

Back in '52 so they say.
Believe it or not-
I completely forgot.
Must telephone her right away.

An old Hog who lived in a Sty, could not afford to be shy.
Because anxious others were always nearby.
But in doing his thing, he was surely the King.
And all the happy Sows in his ring,
Agreed and said. No others need to apply.

There was a man from Hanover.
Who had always been a roamer
Bu he finally could see, there's no future for me
So never ever again will I feel this pain
By continuing to be a wild rover

I'm going to start this one again....
REMEMBER...it's ONE line at the time and whomever finishes the limerick, must begin the first line of the next new Limerick......

Eg....
I write....
Rose had a cow named Lilly

Oceanna might write....
"Rose is a name that's so silly"

Wuzfuz might write....
"But she smelled like a flower"

Glad E Olah might write
"Or do I need a shower?!!"

Willows might finish with....
I'll bathe at the five o'clock hour.


So there we have it....

Rose is a name that's so silly
But she smelled like a flower
Or do I need a shower?
I'll bathe at the five o'clock hour."


(note the rythm of the limerick..)
Ta-da-ta-da-ta-dah

(Oh...silly me!! with my ta-da-ta-da's!!"!!)

I think we are to copy the person's lyrics before you and add to it. This is going to be hard but fun. Watch me mess it up. Feel free to edit mine anyone.

Hi all!

Here's another example of a completed limerick.

There once was a cop called "The Fuz"
No longer a cop but he was
Retired the force
His name here of course
Is our ever so special "Wuzfuz!


The first two lines rhyme with one another.
The 3rd and 4th lines have less syllables and they rhyme with one another.
The last line is the same amount of syllables as the first two lines (usually 8 or 9 syllables) and......it rhymes with the first two lines.

After my notes here, I will begin a new limerick, and I'll only write one line.
