U R 1 of them R U not?
I am and I couldn't give a jot
4 I love writing prose
I'm one of them, not one of those
It's just the way I walk...... turkey-trot!

When I say.... "you're one of those"...
I mean in...the newest way of prose....
Numbers/symbols/ 'breviations.....
Thumbs that click with what sensations?
Does the thumb express the heart
That words of lovers might impart?

I think not...I'm of the old school..
Maybe, I'll be thought an old fool
Still staying with the tender times
When spoken words are said in rhymes
Face to face or in a letter
I reminisce...there's nothing better!

To reminisce....to meditate...
perchance even to recall
Is an escape route
given to us all
Take a moment of tranquility
and share it with your kin
immerse yourself in the

Power That Lies Within  
 

Ascend to Heaven through your internal self
Follow not the ways of wayward man
Leave not your intuition upon the shelf
Do not resist the Master Plan.
Superconsciousness should be your aim
Let your soul direct your mind,
These sham religions are all the same
Pure sectarianism, and to each other, blind.

Self realisation should be your goal
Once attained, you're on your way,
The first step is to know your soul
Take that first step, now, today.
Take the time to look at the inner you
Through that window in your mind,
Take the time to think your feelings through
The right path is there to find.

That path, it starts within you
In your subconscious, buried deep,
Meditation is your first clue
Wide awake, and yet asleep.
Awake, to the truth that is in your heart
Asleep, to confusion and dismay,
The Power will find you if you play your part
Meditate with me, today.

The Power that lies within you
Is uncorrupted, strong and bold,
It's there in every cell and sinew
It is a miracle to behold.
You hold the key to this power source
Unlock the same ere it's too late
You can reap the benefits of this wondrous force
If you would but relax, and Meditate!

Where do you come from daffyd?
A world other..than that of me?
You speak of things, I do not know..
Master Plans that you behold
Meditation? all I've done...
Was sitting sunning in the sun
Spreading on the greasy stuff
Because my skin looked old enough!
Your thoughts so far exceed those mine
Can't comprehend your place in time
You're beyond the words for me to find
To enter your creative mind.

(I am Canadian, and we have just celebrated Canada's 150th Birthday!!)

I am a citizen of the world,
the spirit of equality,
freelance, with my flag unfurled,
surely you must see?
A mind unfetted by worldly woes,
a being of benign thought,
well disposed to friend and foes,
in the way I have been taught.

Tutored in the 'hard knock' school
over many many years
In ways that were harsh, nay cruel
Success to he who dares
Tranquility has been my reward
Meditation has brought me peace
A home upon this Earth's green sward
Will wonders never cease?


(My bro moved to Canada and is now a bone-fide Canadian.)

I am having difficulty accessing this forum. I've tried time and time again and have had problems.... but I will continue to try to keep in touch. I got through now...but I don't feel positive about my access.

Stay poetic and well and happy Daffyd...in case I never get back to you again.

I wrote my reply in trivial verse
With each line the poem got worse
When I reached line twenty two
The whole poem disappeared from view
An original script, a work of art
Bemoaning the fact that we might part
Let me now reach out, for we cannot linger
Vertually hold your hand, kiss each finger
