Have you ever seen a hummingbird moth up close? I saw so many last summer for the first time. I was thrilled.

    Enjoyed the pictures.

This morning I was resting outside for a bit in the shade. I watched the squirrels moving around the tree above me. Then they would come down the tree to feed at their jar of sunflower seeds then hurry back up the tree. This went on the whole time I was sitting there. Squirrels are fascinating creatures but sometimes can be little destructive ones too.

Windwalker the hummingbird moth is just about half the size of a ruby throated hummer. In flight it looks the same as a hummingbird, hence the name, I guess. It is a rusty brown and the hummer is green.
