    The Lord God planted a garden
    In the first white days of the world,
    And he set there an angel warden
    In a garment of light enfurled.

    So near to the peace of Heaven,
    That the hawk might nest with the wren,
    For there in the cool of even'
    God walked with the first of men.

    The kiss of the sun for pardon,
    The song of the birds for mirth,
    One is nearer God's heart in a garden
    Than anywhere else on earth.

    I would like to bring this topic back and add a poem I wrote a few years back. It kind of goes along with yours Oceanna.

    The World’s First Parents

    The world’s first set of parents
    Their names were Adam and Eve
    Owners of a paradise
    Until a serpent deceived

    The world’s first set of parents
    The parents of us all
    Listened to the serpent
    To become man’s downfall

    The world’s first set of parents
    A gift of eternal life
    Because of willful sins
    An introduction to strife

    The world’s first set of parents
    The creator had a plan
    Life would be forever
    Until the fall of man

    The world’s first set of parents
    Caused God to change His mind
    Sending another Adam
    Forgiveness for man kind

    I need to do a print out in case it crashes! I have some on paper but need to update.
