I am a bit sore from gardening yesterday. Wanted to plant more but need to wait a couple of days. So far I have lettuce, beets, peas, and radishes out. And one hill of squash and one hill of cucumbers. These may not make it for the temps need to be really warm for them to do well.

I am tired this night. I worked more in my garden after work today. I planted 16 tomato plants, 16 pepper plant, 2 rows of okra, one row of lima beans and a hill of zucchini. It was getting almost dark so will have to finish tomorrow. I watered everything that I had planted.

I spent the morning in town because it was raining and I couldn't do any digging in the dirt. This afternoon I spent approximately 4 hours weeding my vegetable garden and planting snow peas and onions. Tomorrow I do more weeding and get some more stuff in. Where do all the weeds come from?

It has been very warm all week so the ground warmed up pretty much. So after raining last night and this morning, it cooled off a lot, then the sun came a little. Here are some shots I took which I thought were so interesting. A mist came off the fields in front of my house.

Those are some of the bulbs I have blooming now. The read one is a double tulip. It is so beautiful I had to take that picture. Don't know where the bulb came from, though I planted it last Fall. There must have been a mix-up somewhere. Hoping the chipmunks and squirrels don't find it.

BTW I used the Image hosting for SBR and it works, sometimes, as you can see from the above thumbnails. When the thumbnails are clicked on a larger view of the picture opens.

These are pictures I took yesterday and just now got around to posting some.

Who said apple blossoms are white, only that song about "Cherry Pink and Apple blossoms White". Sorry to say mine are pink. LOL Fruit trees are in bloom so Apple blossoms are in order:

I'm coming to live with you and "play" in your beautiful garden and countryside, Islandgrl! Pleeeeeeeeeese give me directions as to how to get to your house! Laughing

I no longer have my garden, since I've been on my own....
The few potted plants on my balcony is what I call my garden..... but because the rooster isn't crowing in the morning....and the grass doesn't need cutting....and the gardens don't need tilling and planting......I'm awake with the night-owls, here at SBR! Very Happy

Please come and visit me willows. Very Happy

My tree peonies are starting to open and so I have captured some pics of the earliest ones. Didn't know I had these colours. I have had them for more than 5 years and with our building project they were moved and never bloomed last year.
I have two shades of fushia/mauve/purple, one single and the other double flowering. I don't really know what the colour is so that best describes it. I plan to become rich when I start dividing these and selling them. They cost me $20 each for a single shoot when I bought them. Very Happy

This is a fushia/mauve/purple, single flowering:

This is the double flowering, same colour:
