Willows, unfortuneatly this behavior is nothing new, it has been going on as long as I can remember. It just took a reporter from Fox to bring it to attention. This reporter has a nitely Fox news thing called "The Hall Of Shame" and he is good at his job exposing those such as contractors, lawn services etc.
I live in Windsor, another Chrysler plant here and a bar used to be across the street. You could not drive across the road at break time for the plant, human traffic was that thick and the bar had trays and trays of beer lined up for the arrival.
After this story ran Chrysler did identify those involved and they have since been fired. But I would guess that it still goes on and always will

Unfortunately...this goes on all over the place. Maybe not drinking and smoking pot...but wasting time on the job at our expense.
For example.....medical workers.....chatting and dilly-dallying behind the desk while patients require care...often urgent....and then picketing because they are over worked and demanding outrageous salaries and compensation...........draining...draining....draining.....all of our medical systems both in the U.S. and Canada!
And our City workers.....
there are ethenic jokes for example...about how many people does it take to screw in a light bulb and we all know the answer to that.
Sooooo many times, I've passed a "circle" of workers around a manhole.....doing what?
Hopefully, this story will put more emphasis on the workers who take advantage of their employers.
