I am absolutely livid, we pay our son's auto insurance to help him out, so on checking my account I noticed that the automatic debit had gone up by $100.00 a month. I thought it was an error so called, not an error I'm told, it's because he lives in Toronto where all auto insurance rates have been increased. He has no claims, no tickets etc. etc. but needs his car for work, ,my next call will be to his MPP. $2,956.00 a year for an old car with only comprehesive and PLPD, no collision on his car.
If he were to live where we are in the boonies, it would go down to $982.00 a year - can you believe that. It's too far for him to commute from here and besides, I wouldn't want him living her.
