    As mentioned in the Good Morning Thread I am trying new browsers. One of them is Browzar. It isn't very big (only 222KB), doesn't need to be installed, just click on run and you are ready. You can read all about it and download it

    Another is Ixquick. This is one I have tried in the past but didn't install on this computer. I am thinking of downloading it again. Learn about it and download it

    Islandgrl, I use goggle a lot, do you have reasons why you want to change.
    I know so little about computers that I can use all the help I can get.

    Yesterday Google activated new privacy rules. You can find out by doing a search on "How will Google's new privacy rules affect you?"

    Interesting, I use Google now. It was interesting to see that they didn't include Google Chrome in their policy changes.

    If you use Facebook, then Google is the least of your worries. It is unreal how many people use multiple apps, and play games that collect all types of info about you.

    Well, I know Chrome is Google, I don't use it. Games collect all types of info, guess I will stop playing them.

    Yes, the games on Facebook collect your info along with any app that you use like horoscope etc. They are all there to make money off people by selling the info to advertising companies.

    They make an app or game, collect all those juicy emails, and then sell the lists to companies. It seems the only real safe place to go now days and protect your info, is forums.

    LOL Thanks Windwalker. I am not a member on any of the social sites and I don't download apps (whatever they are, I suppose apps is short for applications), so what other ways can my personal info be taken?

    I use the internet for searching for info, forums and emails.
