Well I hope you're "flying high"
With your heart condition...
Hope that you'll be good as new
For sure...no supposition!
Aren't you a clown?
Teasing your dear wife???
Threatening her with flying
Jostling with your life???!!
Did she surely smack you?
Or dismiss another tale..
It likely was the latter..

Took a walk today in a woodland scene
Every tree and bush a different shade of green.
Wild apple trees a beauty to behold
Pink and white buds about to unfold.
Bumble bees gather all around
Seeking sweet nectar soon to be found.
A lovely scent fills the air
A blessing from above to have a day so fair.

My wife's name is Faye,and so it be
But to family and me, she was just FIFI
I think that I will never see,
A poem as prety, as my lovely Fi
Though my vision is not what I'd prefer.

RAIN
Way up yonder in the sky
On a humid summer day
While the earth was cracked and dry
A welcomed rain came my way
Oh to smell the scent of rain
Coming down on hot dry soil
All the splendor earth will gain
For the sun has cooked her spoil
Too bad a summer shower
Comes and goes all to quickly
Sure wish I had the power
To make rain fall twice weekly

Scattered clouds and a little coolish.
But I have outside things to finish.
I have a gazebo in my back yard,
And though I find it very hard,
It needs a a paint touch-up and I must find the time,
To make some hay while the Sun doth shine.
So I'll break all the rules, mix some old paint together,
In order to help it survive in all kinds of our weather

Three Men
Three men in my memory
All gone to another place
Each holds a bond within my heart
And grants a smile upon my face
I shall see them once again
When it comes my time to leave
I'll tell them what they did miss
Your love for them they believed
In loving memory of my dad,
the dad of my children and
the dad of my grandson.

Yesterday I learned of the passing ,
Of a friendship that seemed everlasting.
He has finally gone to meet his Lord,
Where he will get his just reward.
He was one fine man and, I will truly.
Tell of his worth while giving a eulogy.
So Thursday I'll be on my way,
To say good by on a very sad day.
At his request I will help carry his coffin
To the grave he will lie in with the love of his life beside him
Of a friendship that seemed everlasting.

The calm after the storm
I am happy and warm

What do I do when the sun don't shine?
My favorite thing is to go online.
Brightens my day when I open my mail,
And see all my friends who have sent me a tale.
Then I do a crossword or two.
Sure helps one from feeling blue

KNOWLEDGE FROM THE FOREST
Forest stands with trees so old
Each a story to be told
The timber’s vision of great awe
An artist’s beauty there to draw
A sight spectacular to each
A knowledge that we all can reach
If you could look inside each tree
At history there for all to see
Each circle formed deep within
Tells the time they did begin
Creator, the Father, from above
Formed each tree with His great love
One tree reflected good and bad
Denied the life we could have had
Too bad the first man disobeyed
The stage for sin had now been laid
God’s Son was nailed onto a tree
He shed his blood for you and me
All the world will soon be shown
The tree of life to atone
Look into God's word and see
The history of that great tree

Think that this one will be okay.
With a 500 hundred pounder.
I know this old rounder
Will feel much sounder.
Than with the 700 pounder
