    On this day, I think of years gone by…
    Miles of travel, beneath far off skies.
    Of storms I’ve weathered, and things I’ve done…
    Cool evening breezes, and setting Sun.

    Of all these things, that meant so much…
    There were none more sweet, than your tender touch.
    When on that day, you were pledged as mine…
    Forever to be, my Valentine.
