Of course not, you aren't that old. Just some items to give insight into that time and if you remember them or have a story to tell about them.

    1900-1910

Barrels of molasses and wheels of Cheddar at the general store.

    First Canada-produced milk powder.

Baking powder made by a local druggist.

    Victor "talking machines."

    Homemade yeast from hops.

First machine-made ice cream cones. What did they use before that?

    Jell-O becomes popular.

First horseless carriage (ex. 1907 McLaughlin).

Calories, protein, fat, carbohydrates and minerals identified and, along with water, considered the five basics for essential health. (Note: Vitamins were still unknown.)

Proper food and nutrition seen as treatment or cure, not prevention.

1900 -- Meat-packing, butter and cheese processing, bread baking, sugar refining were among Canada's top 10 industries (all related to agriculture whether cattle, dairy or crop.)

    Sugar spun into cotton candy.

1901--- Canada Fruit Marks Act - first Canadian Food grading.

    1903--- Canned tuna

1904--- Burgers on a bun, ice cream cones, iced tea, popcorn, peanut butter, puffed riace - all introduced at St. Louis World's Fair.

Campbell's cans Pork & Beans; "Campbell's Kids" debut

    Tea bag invented.

1905--- America's first pizzeria in New York's "Little Italy".

    1906--- Kellogg's Corn Flakes.

First graduates in nutrition and dietetics at University of Toronto.

1907--- Meat Inspection and Canned Food Act implemented for factories.

    Hershey's Kisses.

    1908--- Dixie Cups.

1909--- Canada's first airplane flight at Baddeck, Nova Scotia.

I didn't realize some of the items mentioned went back so far.

I remember my mother once telling me that when she was a child
she loved having corn flakes for breakfast, a change from the usual
oatmeal porridge. Corn flakes was a treat then as was an orange
    at Christmas time.

I used to have cornflakes in my younger days but I much prefer oatmeal porridge now and have it at least twice a week.

Time Lines, Do you Remember? Empty Cream of Wheat

I can remember sitting and staring at that bowl as a child and gagging at the thought of actually eating it.

Of course in those days you did not leave the table till you finished your plate. I sat at the table an awfully long time.
