    It looks like Bill C-384 (which aims to legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide) is coming to a vote on Wednesday in Canada.

    I`m not against helping terminally ill people dying with dignity so that they don`t have to suffer so much at the end, so I do I agree with this for the most part. However, I have a problem with the slippery slope and the pandora`s box it could open...

    What say you?

    I agree with you Sunny.
    I think the terminally ill who are suffering greatly
    should have a say when and how they die, and with dignity.

    However, I see in today's paper that the bill was overwhelmingly
    voted down.

    Yes, I think because the other parties thought there were not enough safeguards to prevent abuse. There is a thought that the right to die, could turn into a duty to die in order to save health care costs etc.

    I didn't read the bill so can't be sure, but there must have been something to to it or there would have been more NDP and Liberals voting for it - I think.

    I agree with it. If the person is suffering why prolong the inevitable.

    We always see here in Australia about Dr. Death who helps people get to the other side. I would like his help if needed.

    I do not think that anyone should be helped to die. When people are ready to die, they will. All these people in power, politicians or doctors like to play God, toooooo much.

    I agreed once that when people are ready to die they will but when you watch your father die in agony begging to die because of the pain, that did change my mine.
