Woof!!! What's for Dinner Empty Woof!!! What's for Dinner

I just read an article that says never feed your dog human food. Do you feed your dog leftovers?

Never feed your puppy or any dog, human food. Not only does this foster bad behaviours such as cruising counters and food-related aggression, but some of the foods we find delectable are far too high in fat for our dogs to digest and some are actually poisonous and lethal to them - including mishrooms, grapes and even a small amount of chocolate.

Recomendation: Dry dog food or a raw food because they are better for your dog's teeth. They also have better ingredients than any of the wet canned foods. Alternate the flavours for your dog too. Very Happy Chicken, beef, lamb, etc.

Yes indeed, islandgirl, in an ideal world.....

Mushrooms fried in oil, as indeed oil is used for all the small amount of frying I do have not so far proved to be poisonous but I draw the line firmly at presenting chocolate treats knowing full well the extreme likelihood of causing death.

Must go, it's 'Fry-up Friday' for our 'tea' at 4.30 and I must peel the mushrooms.

Our dog gets olive oil on his dry dog food. That helps his coat. He doesn't get many scraps from the table, but tomatoes are a must. Can not get cheese out of the fridge without a dog rushing up to see where his piece is. He also gets a few chunks of carrots on his meal sometimes. He would kill for a tidbit of ham, chicken or beef thrown his way when cutting up roasts. He is not a spoiled dog!
