    Visitor from Japan, Mother two kids under five,had to go shopping for nourishing NA food. This was her selection. How to undermine the health of your children. Slow misery in every package.

    Sad isn't it. I sometimes wonder if today's kids know where "good" foods come from. Strange that nutritionist teaching people how to choose wisely don't take people to a farm/vegetable garden but to the grocery store.

    You actually took pictures of what they bought ? It's not all bad, chocolate milk is better than no milk, and cheerios are one of the better cereals, I eat them too. As long as they are getting other good foods they will do fine.

    Unfortunately, the commercial prepared food kills the desire and appetite for more beneficial foods. I know one young child who only eats the commercial prepared stuff, and it certainly is reflected in his behaviour, obviously too much sugar.Juice from concentrate is pure junk food in my opinion.In fact it is not the food take outs that are the problem with the junk food, but the isles of the Supermarkets.Commercial chocolate milk is coloured milk loaded with sugar.What is wrong with mixing a bit of cocoa with milk at home?

    Since the original photos my poor refrigerator is filled with supermarket junk food of stuff I never knew existed,nicely packaged, sugar laced, salt laced and fat laced, which we all like and enjoy. A treat maybe, but certainly never part of a mainstream diet.
