    Finding cranberry juice alone to be quite tart in it natural state,it was decided to mix with pomegranate juice. Both are marketed together in my area around Christmas.The quantity selected was 12 pomegranates and 3600 grams of cranberries. Two identical batches were made of 6 pomegranates and 1800 grams of cranberries.

    Method: Wash, cover with water, boil until soft, beat into a mash, strain. The two juices were mixed together and placed in liter jars and pressured canned at 15 PSI for 15 minutes. Nothing except water was added to the juice. The juice is more than palatable.

    You just try to break the habits and mindset of North Americans regarding food. They will waddle to their grave eating and drinking food that kills them. I like the juices and all are very healthy. The permanganate makes the cranberry juice a most pleasant if somewhat sour (tart) refreshing drink.

    Often wonder why they don't bottle Watermelon juice. Its about 90% water and and probably healthy.

    I have juiced watermelon, but not his year since I had a poor crop. It is far too thin and probably should be reduced by boiling or mixed with something else, maybe apple juice.
