I SAY 3 CHEERS FOR PRIME MINISTER HARPER!!! It long overdue.

As a long retired Toronto cop, I well remember the days when our Justice System was relatively effective in protecting the lives, safety and property of honest citizens from vicious career criminals whose actions can destroy the lives of their victims.


In the hands of Liberal governments and wishy-washy Conservatives over the past few decades, Judges have become ludicrously lenient in dealing with these predators and the the emphasis by criminologists has become fixated on trying to reform career criminals rather than punishing them. It should be obvious to anyone who reads the daily papers or watches the news on TV,that
this strategy is not working and exists only in the minds of naive people who believe that there might be a Pot of Gold at the end of the Rainbow. Its also time to end the revolving door syndrome of our Parole Boards. Convicts should the full term of their sentences behind bars.

Being Politically Correct does not work in dealing with serious crime and we now have a tough minded Prime Minister who has the fortitude to act on his beliefs. BRAVO!

I agree with WuzFuz... it's time for change!

Crime is devouring our country and we are paying for every cent of it. Whatever the cost of laying down the law is....I'm for it! We have to put a stop to it..because it will only continue to cost us...... if we do not.

Agree with wuzfuz, although the Omnibus bill which included internet surveillance died when the election was called. The new one introduced this week, does not include the internet spying. Good call on that one, IMO.
