    Earth Day Empty Earth Day

    I just heard on TV that this is Earth Day.
    We are supposed to save on electricity for one hour all over the world.

    I will turn off lights and not use power
    for anything else later on after it gets dark.

    Good idea. There should be an earth hour every week at least, not just once a year. Wouldn't it make a marvellous difference if we all did that? But can't you just imagine the uproar from big business?

    I do celebrate Earth Day every day of the week and always. I use only the lights that I require and I use the Energy-Saving bulbs in my lamps. Last night's Earth Hour is a reminder, yet I worry about careless use of candles in apartment buildings during this event and that makes me uneasy. I DID turn out all except for one mini light for Earth Hour, but I must confess...that I had my television on.

    Saving energy is something that I do every day so I don't feel guilty about keeping my TV and my little light on....but as I said....the event is a reminder.
