    This is my Amaryllis that I got as a bulb for a Christmas gift.
    It is nice to have blooms at this time of year.

    Oceanna, that is a beaut of a floral display. Striking and yet simple in that it needs no other greenery or other flowers to compete with it.

    I have tried the amaryllis, no luck, mine did get a sorry excuse for a flower. What's your secret?

    I don't have a secret Lee, it all depends on getting a healthy bulb.
    Usually the ones I have tried are already sprouted a bit in the box when I get them.

    I have had one or two that would not grow at all or just grew a couple of long leaves. That is disappointing but they are so pretty when they do bloom that I think they are worth trying.

    If you try one again I hope you have good luck and get blooms.
