The horn heard around the world - it's nuts can't listen to the game

Are any of you watching the world cup - achh !!! it's freaking' annoying, hubby has been watching with the sound turned down, but honestly they should ban that da.n horn - at least when S. Africa isn't playing.

Heard on the news this evening that despite many complaints
the horns will not be stopped.

I am not watching so it doesn't bother me but it's driving a lot of fans
to distraction.

There was another news article about that yesterday in which they said those horns were causing hearing problems. But it is like causing a distraction to players and fans. Imagine having something like that at hockey games. Would it be tolerated? It's like a bunch of bullies.

The horns may be traditional, but the country should also acknowledge their guests. Afterall, this event will benefit the host country in more ways than ever imagined.....however.... it is a most annoying sound, even as we hear it on our televisions and other sources around the world, but one can only imagine what those who travelled to the games at great expense...sitting in the stands...to watch this worldwide event..................must be going through !!!!!!!!

Disrespect is being shown to the spectators from around the world. Doesn't their Government Officials have the authority to allocate the sounds of the horns to more appropriate times....eg....when their country scores....or wins...or couldn''t they limit the amount of "toots" per acomplishment! Perhaps not...and this may be a learning experience, of which any country is allowed....and for future games.

I'm sure that they want to celebrate the Games being held in South Africa....but the time for going all out with the horns...would be more appreciated...if the sound was in celebration of the Games and in acknowledgment of their Team...win or lose...and in the Closing Ceremonies.

What ever the sounds.......I wish South Africa the greatest success in the World Games.

Agree on that for sure, it is disrespectful to the rest of the world, I can't believe they've allowed them in spite of complaints from everyone, including the players.

This British guy could be the most hated man in Britain, can you imagine them in British soccer matches, I bet they'll cause some riots.
