This is Wendee, she was 6 weeks old when this picture was taken.
My d-i-l has four alpacas, no baby ones right now.

What a smashing picture, these animals are so gorgeous to look at.
Over here in the UK we have a few Alpaca centres, we have visited a couple when on holidays.

That one is very cute. Are they beasts of burden? That one resembles a baby goat.

    Oh so beautiful oceanna!

I want one...but can they be house-trained?!! Laughing Wonder what my building manager would think about an alpaca dwelling in my apartment! :pale: Laughing

Willows, Alpacas grow to be quite large so you would not want one inside,
but they are adorable when young.

My daughter-in- law has them mainly as a hobby but they do shear them and
sell the wool for yarn. In summer they are in a fenced area outside in the daytime
and put in the barn at night.
They can be outside during winter days too if weather permits.
They have very expressive eyes and look right at a person like they are sizing
one up. They are interesting to watch but quite a lot of work.
