Wuzfuz you are very observant.
This variety of impatients can handle a little sun and they
get some until nearly noon. It doesn't seem to bother them and
it's enough for the geranium.

Your flowers look beautiful Oceanna.
I didn't plant anything in pots this year but I do have a cactus and a pot of geraniums (that I overwintered in the garage) from last year. They are doing great but the hot weather is taking their toll. It is just too much work and they dry out so fast. I have gardens all round my house and yard and that is more than enough.
Do black people need sunscreen?
I think they do. Everyone needs protection (we've been told) but they don't need to go in the sun. They are naturally tanned.

Oceanna - your flower combination do make a great impression, especially in that antique pot!
Island Girl, I decided not to have any flower pots either this year as we're coming and go all throughout the growing season and they don't the attention they need. At least I get to enjoy other the efforts of others!!

I think that your combination of geraniums and impatience works...because the geraniums provide just enough shade for the impatience!
