Do you have a digital camera? What kind is it? Has it been trouble free? Here is an article that may be helpful.

Ever wonder how long your digital camera will last? Or wonder whether that expensive warranty offered by the store is worth the expense? Some news from SquareTrade, a U.S. firm that sells consumer warranties on electronic equipment, may put your mind at ease.

A study of 60,000 cameras SquareTrade had under warranty over the last few years indicated that if you have a point-and-shoot camera, there is only a 10.7 per cent chance (slightly better than one in 10) of it needing repairs by the end of two years. That goes up to 15.6 per cent by the end of year three. This includes malfunctions and accidental breakage; approximately 40 per cent of failures are due to accidents. If accidents are removed from the equation, those rates drop even more, to 6.6 per cent and 9.8 per cent, respectively.
