Art Show On the Weekend

I'm celebrating today - I sold two painting over the weekends at the art show Not big bucks but it'll pay for the frames I bought last week.

I was at my Monday group today, their show is in November but this year they are looking for miniatures.. Not sure I'm ready for that, I would need a good magnifying glass, although somewhere around I have a head ban with a magnifier that comes down.. will have to look for it.

I paint and sketch a bit, and I couldn't trash any of it even if it was junk! But you really have a talent and even little bits and pieces need a place in your portfolio!
I once attempted to paint miniature acrylic paintings on the reverse side of discarded eyeglass lenses from my Optometrist's office. That was an interesting challenge, because I was working in reverse to allow the "right" side to be the protective side.

I haven't done anything artistic nor crafty for several years (since I lost my husband). I love it all... and it get's my adreneline going at the the thought of it....but then...my get-up-and-go....gets-up-and-flies-the coop! :shock: Maybe your works will inspire me to look into my extensive craft closet and "get my rear in gear"!.

Good luck with your paintings, sunnysideup...and give it all you've got...while you are enthused about it.....so you... just get at it and do yourself a favor and put that Head Magnifier on, Sunnysideup!!!

I did do a sawblade in acrylics but the art club doesn't allow them in their show ( not art, it's a craft) but my son just gave me a couple so I might have another go at that.
