I brought this cheap little camera from a website in China that sells all kinds gagets . Mostly for curiousity because I did not believe it would do what they claimed.

You cannot view the shots you have taken until you download them onto a new drive that it installs on your computer., You can then move them to a file on your C drive. and change the name of the file.
This is a picture of the camera and a shot taken yesterday

Interesting Wuzfuz, what's the max. megapixels it takes? I don't get the installing a new hard drive, do you mean it installs to a section on your C: drive ( hard drive) :)-

    Hi again sunny.

Forgot to answer your question regarding additional drive in the Computer.

When I go to My Computer it shows

    OS (C)
    DVDRW Drive (D)

When I plug in the USP cable from the camer, it also inidicates.
Removable disk (E). Pull the USP out and it's gone.

When the pictures and loaded, you can convert them in to .jpg format and transfer them into any file on your C Drive. ie, My Pictures..

Took me almost a whole day to sort the process out.

Hard to teach an Old Dog new tricks.

Thanks wuzfuz. I think the drive you see is the camera's drive or memory card. I know somewhere on mine there is a setting to that the computer will read the card as a hard drive which would allow me to delete pics from the computer.

I'm after a new camera with 20 x optical zoom but can't justify getting rid of my current 12 x optical zoom - well unless I win the lottery.

Those look like really good photos Wuzfuz. Not bad at all. Sunnysideup is right that will be either the camera itself showing up as another removeable drive, or if it has a removeable memory card, it is the card.

Just copy the pics from that drive to your computer for safe keeping, and you should be able to delete the ones in the camera just like you would on your computer.

I like your Camera too sunnysideup, I have a digital rebel from years ago now.

I like mine, but it's not as handy to carry around as the smaller cameras, the larger the zoom the larger the camera.

Last year down south, I saw a 4 gig. memory card at Bestbuy for $15.00 so grabbed it, turns out it won't work in mine. I didn't realize it said hd/sc so it's not compatible, not now not ever, but I still can't justify a new one yet. Yet.... my canon eats batteries, it doesn't do well with re-chargeables either but I've been told that in the near future, cameras will come with the lithium re-chargeable type.

Well, my 3 x optical zoom HP has that type which lasts for quite a while, so will wait..

BTW, my first digital camera was a Sony Mavica, it used the 3.5 disks... now I have nothing to use them on. LOL I gave my old laptop to my son along with the Sony.

I buy Lithium rechargeable batteries for my Kodak EasyShare from an internet site in China.

Cost about $6.00 each including postage. Take a couple of weeks to arrive in my mailbox. Waiting for a couple now.

My last experience with a Chinese site was a cigarette lighter adapter for my GPS, I lost it. Got one for peanuts which lasted all of about one week then died. :)- I ended up buying one at Best Buy anyway .... which site do you go to ?
    thanks
