My first attempt at making butter at home. A litre of whipping cream was purchased and about 750 ml was used to make the butter. The whipping was done in my dough maker on my Ninja blender. This is a perfect churn for small quantities. A whisk and a hand blender also functions well. Twenty minutes and presto butter was made. The end product is unsalted butter. I would have preferred pure cream, but one must take what is sold if they don’t produce their own. The process is a simple as making whipping cream only slightly longer time. Notice all the additives in the purchased whipping cream.Pictures depict my method.

Making butter from cream with no additives. The product was costed.Pure cream was purchased at a “Goodness Me” store at $6.29/litre. Half or 500 ml or 450 grams was used to make 220 grams of butter and 200 grams of buttermilk.A teaspoon of pure salt was added mixed with the cream before processing. The process took about seven minutes of agitation to produce half a pound of butter at a cost of $6.28 per pound. This is about twice the cost of commercial supermarket butter. The upside is there is no additives.

Found a supplier near me without additives. http://www.hewittsdairy.com/our-products/
Fresh all-natural creams with no additives (10% cream – half ‘n half cream, 18% cream – table cream, 35% cream – whipping cream)
